We are honored to announce that we have been selected by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation as one of the winners of the CES 2020 Eureka Park Accessibility Contest. 

CES is one of the leading gathering places for creators of consumer technology, with a conference program that has seen over 170,000 attendees from 160 countries. It is produced by the CTA, which represents the $401 billion U.S. consumer technology industry. And Eureka Park, in particular, has helped bring over $1.5 billion in funding to startups globally. Needless to say, we are very excited to be recognized by such a reputable and recognizable organization. 

The CES 2020 Eureka Park Accessibility Contest was focused on bringing awareness to companies who support the CTA Foundation’s mission: linking seniors and people with disabilities with technologies that enhance their lives. In addition to Mieron, four other companies were recognized for bringing innovations that benefit the lives of disabled or elderly people. 

“The consumer technology industry is continuing to advance innovations that enable us to live healthy, independent lives regardless of age or ability,” said Stephen Ewell, executive director, CTA Foundation. “At CES 2020 we will find examples of life-changing technology from one end of the show to the other, including in marketplaces like accessibility, AI and robotics, health and wellness, smart homes and vehicle tech. We are excited to feature these five companies as innovators showing the positive impact that technology can have.”

Since we’ve created Mieron, our mission has always been to make VR technology as accessible as possible to patients of all levels of mobility. We are dedicated to creating solutions that directly answer to the pain points that our end-users face. This is why we’ve gone a step further in creating an at-home rehabilitation program – MieronGO. In addition to helping patients gain mobility under the guidance of their practitioners, we also want to empower them to continue their recovery journeys at home. 

We are grateful to organizations like the CTA Foundation for recognizing the importance of innovating for the disability and elderly care sector. With this award, we hope to bring more awareness to the power of virtual reality in rehabilitation, and continue to help patients regain independence in their lives.
